Why is it when we get together with a friend we tend to talk about what is wrong in our lives rather than finding something positive to talk about? We spend so much time and energy on it not realising that what we are doing is creating more negative energy, yes we have to vent every now and then and yes it is healthy as we know if we keep it all bottled up inside we are creating a war within ourselves. So here is the challenge, find something positive in your life and I want you to spend as much time talking and focusing on it as you do on the negative and see how you go.
My challenge has been changing how I do things, I usually do my blog at home but I knew that I needed to get out of my own space, so this morning I am down at my local café, sitting in front of the fire because it is freezing out side, having a cuppa and writing this. It was supposed to be on the laptop but I forgot to charge it so paper and pen it is. The point being is I changed something in my life to make it easier for me and I’m happy I did.
As we are looking at changing things in our lives’ things that may not be working for us, think about something that isn’t working for you, that you aren’t happy with and ask yourself what can you do to change it?
It could be a little thing, like a change of attitude; a change in your thinking, changing your routine or it could be much larger. I think the universe is making us deal with this now, getting us to look at what we might have been afraid to look at in the past.
- What do you think stops you from making changes in your life?
- Is it you just don’t want to change?
- Is it fear of change or what it might entail?
- Or fear of the unknown?
Allow change to be a good thing, look at it as an adventure. Try it but work on something small first you might find you like it.
When you become aware that the pattern of behaviour is slipping back because something is taking a little longer than you though it would, stop it. It is far easier for us to slip back into something that is familiar and known, but not healthy on any level.
Don’t give up, keep working on it and one day you will wake up and realise you have really made a difference in your life for the better and it wasn’t so hard..

Treasure maps and Vision boards are an ideal way of bringing everything together, helping us focus on the changes we want to make in our lives, by having a vision of how we see ourselves in a year or two years. It could be how we would like a project we are about to embark on to look; the difference having a holiday would make in our lives. It is a way of setting goals that are achievable, and some that are way out there. The main thing, though, is that it is fun to do – and it works.
