I can’t change the direction of the wind,
but I can adjust my sails to
always reach my destination.
I can’t change the direction of the wind,
but I can adjust my sails to
always reach my destination.
Why is it when we get together with a friend we tend to talk about what is wrong in our lives rather than finding something positive to talk about? We spend so much time and energy on it not realising that what we are doing is creating more negative energy, yes we have to vent every now and then and yes it is healthy as we know if we keep it all bottled up inside we are creating a war within ourselves. So here is the challenge, find something positive in your life and I want you to spend as much time talking and focusing on it as you do on the negative and see how you go.
My challenge has been changing how I do things, I usually do my blog at home but I knew that I needed to get out of my own space, so this morning I am down at my local café, sitting in front of the fire because it is freezing out side, having a cuppa and writing this. It was supposed to be on the laptop but I forgot to charge it so paper and pen it is. The point being is I changed something in my life to make it easier for me and I’m happy I did.
As we are looking at changing things in our lives’ things that may not be working for us, think about something that isn’t working for you, that you aren’t happy with and ask yourself what can you do to change it?
It could be a little thing, like a change of attitude; a change in your thinking, changing your routine or it could be much larger. I think the universe is making us deal with this now, getting us to look at what we might have been afraid to look at in the past.
Allow change to be a good thing, look at it as an adventure. Try it but work on something small first you might find you like it.
When you become aware that the pattern of behaviour is slipping back because something is taking a little longer than you though it would, stop it. It is far easier for us to slip back into something that is familiar and known, but not healthy on any level.
Don’t give up, keep working on it and one day you will wake up and realise you have really made a difference in your life for the better and it wasn’t so hard..
I want to hear about the positive changes and things that you are putting energy into and well done !!!!
We are holding a workshop on the 10th September just for 4 hours to create your own Vision Board.
We would love to see you there.
Treasure maps and Vision boards are an ideal way of bringing everything together, helping us focus on the changes we want to make in our lives, by having a vision of how we see ourselves in a year or two years. It could be how we would like a project we are about to embark on to look; the difference having a holiday would make in our lives. It is a way of setting goals that are achievable, and some that are way out there. The main thing, though, is that it is fun to do – and it works.

Have a fantastic week.
Scott Alexander King has said that “depression is the body’s need for deep rest” and I agree with him.
We come to earth having chosen the life we are to live with all that entails, often finding it much more difficult than we supposed when in spirit form.
So begins the struggle between the spiritual lessons we came to learn and the physical struggle to cope with living.
Our planet is in turmoil the energy in the process of change and for many empathics this is a traumatic place to be living. We may have come to help with the changes on earth, but are struggling with our own journey and its trials and tribulations.
Every day we have to live with our aura and energy being bombarded, very much like being on constant alert, or living in a war zone, the body is suffering from stress symptoms, the para -sympathetic nervous system is working on high alert which is not a healthy place to be for long periods of time. Our body cannot continue to cope with this sort of barrage.
This is a situation we have chosen to experience, for our soul’s journey, and it is only us who really know how long the depression will be experienced for. This makes it very difficult for loved ones to know what to do for the best.
Depression has affected so many of us from time to time in varying degrees.
Having worked in mental health this was something that those who came into our unit suffered from in its more severe form.
Examples of this maybe: going into a very analytical profession that our parents have wanted us to go into, but our soul wants us to become an artist, there is always the internal struggle, between outside influences and our internal knowing. Not wanting to hurt those we love, wanting to do the right thing, so we ignoring the messages we get through our dreams, symbols or signs, that are there for us.
Whatever form our depression comes in, whether mild or chronic, we have chosen to experience it.
I feel that we are seeing more of depression, as spiritual emergence is coming to the fore. The more we fight to stop this happing the worse the depression will become. We are not living the live we came to live. There are now 1 out of 3 people in Victoria who are experiencing some form of mental illness.
For empathics it maybe that life has just become all too difficult to cope with, we all have a different story to tell.
Psychologically we start to withdraw, from situations we can no longer cope with.
We can show symptoms of psychical illness, which will manifest when we are working hard to ignore what our body and soul are trying to tell us.
It is difficult to know at the beginning if a person is going through a spiritual emergence, having a soul experience, or if it’s organic, something happening or changing in the body.
For most of us on our journey spiritual awakenings can be strange but exciting.
Things can start to happen that for us are quite different to what is our “normal”. If they happen slowly then we are able to integrate them successfully, especially if we have the help of a spiritual teacher, or we start attending a spiritual group, or spiritual church.
It is best to seek help. It helps to be able to talk to some one, who is able to give you the tools to apply while going through the integration process, and let you know that it is okay.
Most likely they will have been through their own experience of spiritual awakenings, and will have the skills to help you through yours. If we start to fight the changes and don’t want them to be apart of our life we will then struggle. We have to understand we actually agreed for this to happen at this time before we incarnated, only we have forgotten.
We can choose not to go through it as we all have “free will”, but if we do it is going to be a difficult time for us as we are only fighting our spiritual integration and ourselves. This can come from fear or a lack of understanding. There can be many reasons why we chose not to have our spiritual side emerge with our physical.. After all our spiritual awakenings are only aligning us with the divine.
It can all seem very over whelming at times but as you become used to the energy, you will find you will not want to be with out it.
Meditation doesn’t have to be long. Just learning to concentrate on you breathing helps to relax the body and mind. You don’t have to sit cross- legged on the floor, just sitting comfortable on a chair is fine. If you lie on the floor, you’re more likely to go to sleep, which defeats the purpose.
Have you ever stopped to think about what it can do for you?
Or what can happen to your body when under stress?
There are different types of meditation and often it’s about finding one that suits you.
Moving meditation such as Yoga or Tai Chi, could be suitable for those of you who find it difficult to sit still for any length of time. In moving meditation you learn breathing techniques, the importance of posture, movement, flow, balance, and being centred. The art of visualisation and imagery is also practised.
Relaxation meditation is based on focusing attention on consecutive areas of the body and relaxing the muscles by tensing and relaxing, until the process is completed throughout the whole body. It allows the mind to be eased of the physical state of consciousness, and enjoy the heightened sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
This is a guided visual experience that involves creating a virtual reality scene within the imagination. This may be something like peacefully swimming with the dolphins or walking in a beautiful garden. It is a good place to start when trying to quieten your mind and a wonderful way to relax the body and mind.
Meditation is one of the most powerful tools we have in our modern world. The benefits of meditation are many;
There has been much research to find out how much of an impact meditation has in our everyday lives and health matters. It’s been found to hold such a wide range of helpful and healing benefits across a broad spectrum that it is now included in medical mainstream practice as a great way to avoid general stress.
Learning meditation was a lifesaver for me and I could not imagine my life with out it now. It does not have to be difficult, can you really afford to not give it a go?

Spiritual development is not just about being kind, or thoughtful or having positive thoughts. It’s about being real, authentic, learning about yourself, your lessons and working on them. It’s about those inner feelings of faith that guide you through your life.
It is about your beliefs, your connection to your higher self. It is hard and lonely at times because you can never go back to being as you were. You see life differently through kinder eyes. It doesn’t mean that you disown your darker side. It means you embrace, honour it and love it.
So why would you want to work on your Spiritual development?
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
Often we chose the safe option, as that’s what our logical part wants for us. But if you reflect for a moment and tap into your heart what does it say?
Our heart is where our desires and dreams are kept, so why not listen to what it is telling you.
In my new online courses you can choose which course you would like to begin your journey with. I do advise ‘Guarding the door to your Sacred Space’ as this is the foundation for all the learning to follow.
This course will give you the techniques to take control of how you live your life. Cleansing or resetting your energy so that your experiences, moods and feelings are not influenced by something or someone else.
For me, this module is the foundation to any work that you will be doing that involves working with your intuitive abilities, conscious awareness, healing and spiritual or psychic work.
We all know that when building a new house, if the foundations aren’t solid to build on, the building will not last the distance. For me, learning these techniques is the solid foundation to build any work that involves states of reality. But it is also helpful in our everyday lives.
Creating a sacred space and using spiritual protection will become second nature after a while.
